Industries that can best withstand a recession

With many companies, both large and small, having to make budget cuts lately, which oftentimes result in layoffs, people are curious about which industries might be less prone to this type of thing happening at times when the economy is slumping. Whether you are looking for a new job, or perhaps trying to switch into a more stable industry, I’ve come across a couple of articles that I think readers of my blog will find interesting and useful, no matter what career situation you may be in currently.

CNN Money also has a list of ten specific jobs that are good to have in the current economic situation, along with salary stats for each and reasons why they will always be in demand.
